Job overview

We are currently seeking  enthusiastic self motivated Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Crafts persons to work Shifts within a large organisation.  To provide a 24hr maintenance service provision at one of the main DGH sites by participating within a 24 hr rotating shift roster. The shift roster will be set up to suit local needs at each of the main hospital sites. Ensuring all essential services are maintained to support clinical departments in their prime task of treating patients whilst ensuring all statutory legislation.

Main duties of the job

You should have experience of fault finding on complex building services, plant and equipment to a high level of competence and be able to work on your own initiative. Knowledge of systems such as Building Management Systems, fire alarms, power systems and infrastructure, emergency stand by generators, ventilation, lifts, steam boilers, heating boilers, commercial catering equipment etc would be desirable. You will participate in an out of hours on Call rota. You should have completed a formal craft apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and preferably have attained an academic qualification to Higher National Certificate of Engineering standards.
