This is a replacement post for a LED doctor to Medicine rotational posts in East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The appointee will be based at Eastbourne District General Hospital, but this may change depending on service need. Fixed term contract is until 31st July 2025 only.
Main duties of the job
Assisting ward rounds with consultants and reg to have a management plan for each GIM and Rheumatology patients including a provisional discharge date.
Completing promptly discharges letters and make sure appropriate referrals are done as a part of patient future care which includes OPD.
Chase other department referrals , complete blood test , forms and liaise with pharmacy and pathology as when required daily.
Present cases with updates on a daily basis at board round and meet the patient next of kin as when required.
Work with MDT (OT, PT, pharmacy , nursing team, ASC ) to manage patient care effectively during the time of patients inpatient stay.
