The City 0-19 Integrated Health Visiting and School Nursing Service have a vacancy for a dynamic and conscientious Band 3 Clinical administrator to join their North Locality Team.

The vacancy is for a part-time 30 hours per week based at Smallthorne Health Centre and the successful applicant must have the ability to travel around the City of Stoke-on-Trent.

The successful applicant will demonstrate commitment, drive, professionalism and enthusiasm and work towards the service vision and trust values. In return you will be supported to deliver a child friendly service with opportunities for role specific training and development.

The post will involve both administration and clinical duties to support the delivery of a high quality service in community settings across the 0-19 age range. Experience of working within a similar role is desirable but not essential.

It is required that the successful applicant will complete the Competency Framework for Clinical Administrator (Band 3) within 6 months from commencement of the post.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Administrator will work as part of a team of practitioners who work with the 0-19 population  in providing universal services under the umbrella of health visiting and school nursing. You will support with administration duties such as creating appointments for various health reviews carried out by the team, covering a duty system where requests for the team are actioned daily, ordering and control of supplies, providing reports for the team leader and also utilising clinical skills in supporting the Health Visitors in weighing and measuring  babies and children in our well baby clinics. The post holder will be expected to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines in order to fulfil the requirements of the post. Excellent interpersonal and communication and organisational skills are essential to meet the sometimes fast paced demands of the service, along with an ability to liaise directly with service users.
