Job overview

Do you want:

  • To live and work in a lovely part of the country?
  • Develop your career with a friendly and supportive team?
  • Support birthing individuals and their families through quality antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care in a variety of settings?

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 midwives to join our midwifery teams on our York site.  With a drive for innovation and transformation, our trust is an excellent choice for you to continue your midwifery journey.

Interviews will take place on Monday the 4th November.

Main duties of the job

We are a supportive, dynamic team, and are seeking motivated, progressive midwives to apply to be part of our maternity transformation plans.

Successful candidates will work autonomously within locally agreed policies and guidelines, taking account of the NMC code in relation to practice. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care to women and their babies throughout pregnancy, Labour and the postnatal period.

There will be a further requirement for more experienced Midwives to support students, our internationally educated midwives, and newly qualified midwives.  Participating in an on-call rota may be applicable.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
