At Leicestershire Partnership Trust we have some exciting brand-new job opportunities across our Mental Health wards as Inpatient Activity Coordinators. We are seeking dedicated and creative individuals to join our Inpatient Activity Coordinator team throughout our directorate of mental health inpatient services at either Glenfield or Leicester General Hospital sites. We have a range of opportunities across various wards from Acute adult, Mental Health Services for Older People, Rehabilitation, Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure.

As an Inpatient Activity Coordinator, you will be based on the ward delivering and facilitating 1:1 and group activities that will meet a range of needs for our inpatients including physical, mental and social wellbeing. You will also work closely with the multi-disciplinary team such as Medical, Nursing, Therapy and Psychology staff as well as the Wellbeing and Engagement Officers.

Main duties of the job

As an Inpatient Activity Coordinator, you will collaborate with a wide healthcare team to create individualised activity timetables that promote mental, emotional, and physical health.

Creativity, compassion, and organisational skills will help transform the inpatient experience, making a positive impact on recovery and patient satisfaction.

This role is perfect for a dynamic individual who is passionate about improving the lives of others through meaningful interactions and tailored programs. For this role you must have a real desire to look after and help people, have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate all of our trust values. Some of the activities you will be supporting with include bingo, art projects , playing games and much more.

We are not expecting everyone to know everything in all aspects of the role when applying, but someone who is willing to have fun whilst upskilling themselves would be the ideal candidate!

We have a specialist unit vehicle that we use with our patients and families, therefore a driving licence is essential for this role should you wish to be based within our Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Wards

All of these roles cover a 7 day rota including evenings and weekend.
