Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position in the Frimley Health Infection Prevention & Control Team, as a Band 6 Infection Prevention & Control Practitioner, primarily based on the Frimley Park Hospital site.

The post is open to registered practitioners in nursing, midwifery and allied health professional fields, that have considerable experience in working at Band 5 or above within an acute hospital setting.

Main duties of the job

You will play a key role in the delivery of the trust Infection Prevention & Control Annual Plan, assisting in the identification, prevention, surveillance, and management of infection in the trust, as well as participation in clinical audit and education.

The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for infection prevention and control, have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and evidence of on-going professional development. You will be computer literate (Microsoft Office), have the ability to influence others, and have a flexible approach to work, acting as a role model across disciplines.
