An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated finance professional to join the Finance department at North Bristol NHS Trust as part of a dedicated team to support the income function within the Trust, which has responsibility for c£800m of annual revenue.

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative self-starter to support the timely and accurate production of financial and activity information which requires understanding, interpretation and analysis. You will support the team to investigate and resolve queries from external and internal finance and commissioning staff and pursue corrective action in consultation with the team as well as managing the commissioner income inputs into the ledger.

Main duties of the job

Income Accountant

We are looking for an analytically minded individual with a good track record of delivering results within a large complex environment, good MS Excel skills and sound experience in the use of large datasets. Main duties will include:

  • Reporting patient level activity and income for the Trust both internally and externally to commissioners
  • Income analysis to support the wider finance team, divisions and commissioners
  • Assisting with planning and forecasting
  • Project work
  • Data manipulation and problem solving
