Job overview

To perform all production related activities associated with the role of a Decontamination Services Technician in MDGH HSDU in compliance with all HSDU Operating Procedures. HSDU provides a decontamination / sterilisation service to the Trust  and operates a Quality Management System which is accredited as, ISO13485:2016. The post holder is required to support all job related activities which support this quality service and accreditation.

Full and part time hours available.

Main duties of the job

To receive and inspect used medical devices (surgical instruments and equipment) from HSDU “customers” i.e. wards, clinics, theatres and other departments within the Trust.

To decontaminate and disinfect soiled medical devices in accordance with HSDU operating procedures.
