The National HCV paediatric Multi-Disciplinary Operational Delivery Network (HCV/MDT) is focused on working with NHS England Elimination Team whose primary objective is to Eliminate Hepatitis C in 2025, 5 years ahead of the World Health Organisation target of Global Elimination in 2030.
The National HCV MDT provides a sustainable high quality, responsive national paediatric service ensuring equitable treatment to all children and young adults (3-18years) delivering care closer to home.
The Assistant project coordinator promotes the provision of sustainable, high quality, responsive paediatric services within our region and the ODN Support project coordinator is a central link for all our network partner’s service’s needs.
The Assistant project coordinator plays a key role, in the development, management and co-ordination of the Multi-Disciplinary National Hepatitis C Service (HCV MDT) and associated Joint UKSA/HCV MDT) Paediatric Tracking project. To ensure the HCV MDT meets the requirements set out by NHS England relating to data collection, identifying all children and young adults (3-18years) identified by UKHSA as testing positive for HCV whose outcome is unknown.
Networks are autonomous bodies that are hosted by Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and the post holder will be required to work flexibly nationally and ensure collaborative working for the benefits of HCV patients.
