Is Gastroenterology dietetic your passion?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian with clinical dietetic skills in gastroenterology to join the dietetic team at Mid Cheshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, based at Leighton Hospital, as a full time Band 6 dietitian.

The post holder will be a key member of the gastroenterology dietetic team and MDT providing a specialist dietetic service to patients with complex dietary needs. The post holder will enjoy close working relationships with the multidisciplinary team. They will cover dietetic gastroenterology outpatient clinics, gastroenterology ward clinical caseload and IBS/FODMAP group education sessions.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience in oral and enteral nutritional support,  support can be provided to extend these skills.   This post sits within a supportive clinical team with dietetic assistants and administrative support.

The service places a strong emphasis on clinical and peer supervision, mentorship and development of junior dietetic staff and has a well-established program facilitating the training of dietetic students on clinical placements.  The service also provides opportunities for you to develop leadership skills.

To deliver specialist dietetic services to adult patients, with responsibility primarily for the gastroenterology specialist areas across Mid Cheshire Hospitals Trust, as part of the Acute Adult Dietetic Team.

To formulate, deliver and monitor nutritional care plans for referred patients. This would include highly complex clinical conditions and diet therapy, across the gastro/medical wards and outpatient clinics

To be recognised as an expert source of knowledge in the field of gastroenterology nutrition, contributing to development of clinical guidelines, resources and education packages
