To be a Senior Occupational Therapist working autonomously, as a member of the Specialist Community Forensic multidisciplinary team, working across Oxfordshire and offering in-reach to the secure services inpatient setting.
To provide specialist Occupational Therapy interventions using evidence-based client cantered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy with those service users within the SCFT.
To actively contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy role and Occupational Therapy service provision according to identified needs of the multi-disciplinary team and service users needs.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of care, therapeutic interventions and treatment to Thames Valley Forensic Services patients, ensuring the highest standards of care are provided. To ensure that services to patients and carers are delivered and developed according to Trust and Social and Healthcare departmental policies.
Due to new funding from the provider collaborative we are seeking to recruit a senior Occupational Therapist with Mental Health experience to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing Occupational Therapy interventions and working closely with the patients, their families, multi-disciplinary colleagues and external agencies (Prison, Police, MAPA Housing Provider, Probation). This also includes working with patients transitioning from inpatient services into the community.
You will use standardised Occupational Therapy assessments to identify needs and to plan and implement individualised Occupational Therapy treatment interventions. Including co facilitation of Psycho educational groups/sessions, contribution to robust risk assessment and provision of Occupational Therapy formulations.
