The unit houses the Bowel Cancer Screening Centre and we provide care for patients undergoing therapeutic GI endoscopy and bronchoscopy.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Endoscopy Senior Staff Nurse (Full time/permanent) who is interested in gaining further leadership and management skills in this innovative and busy specialities.
Successful post holder will already possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a busy and dedicated team.
You need to be RN with a minimum of 1 year endoscopy clinical experience.
This position will require someone that is confident in their knowledge and delivery of excellence in every aspect of patients care.
To support and deputise Endoscopy Nurse Manager to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
Also to carry out the day-to day management and co-ordination of the Endoscopy unit. To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff.
