Main duties of the job

To take full responsibility and accountability for the operation and performance of the Division through a clearly defined Service Line structure, using the four key enablers - financial planning and management, information support, strategic and annual planning and performance management – to ensure the services the Trust offers to patients are of the highest levels of safety and quality, provided by professionals with the right skills, attitude and values, are cost effective and remain within budget, and are able to respond to the developing business environment.

The Divisional Director will take responsibility and accountability for the delivery of the Divisional annual operating plan and ensuring that systems are in place for the efficient and effective day-to-day operational management of the Division, ensuring effective agreement exists across and between Divisions in the delivery of strategic and operational objectives and in the delivery of integrated care pathways.
