As Divisional Director of Nursing for Specialised Clinical Services Division (SCSD), the post holder will lead, inspire and develop the Nursing Workforce within the Division to deliver high quality, patient-centred nursing care that meets the needs of the patients we serve using highly advanced theoretical and practical knowledge and experience.
Due to the retirement of the current post holder, this has created an opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join us in the continued improvement of the operational, quality and governance, performance and strategic development of the Division.

This post is a key position and as such responsibilities will include:
- the direct delivery, line management and professional standards of nursing and clinical professions within the Division.
- accountability for high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, ensuring the Division operates with the needs of its patients as its highest priority.
- provision of Strategic Nursing Leadership in order to consistently develop high quality, safe and cost-effective nursing services for patients.
- clinical Risk and Quality governance within the Division, providing professional leadership to all staff within the Division including developing the Clinical Leadership capabilities.
- supporting the CNO with the delivery of a wider Corporate Nursing and Quality agenda including but not limited to patient safety, patient experience, improving outcomes and the delivery of the Trust's Strategy for Nursing and Midwifery.
-contributing to the development and review of the Trust's Service and Business strategies.
-developing and delivering systems and processes that enable the consistent delivery of safe high quality professional nursing care through effective performance management.
-maintaining clinical credibility by spending a minimum of 10% of their time in clinical practice across the range of services within the Division.
The post is based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital but travel across sites is essential.
