An opportunity has arisen for the new role of Group Director of Patient Safety and Quality Governance to join a new NHS Group – Our Group is one of the largest acute Group arrangements in the NHS with a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) have significant ambitions and are committed to delivering more together for the populations we serve.

Our two trusts have been working in collaboration to review our services and to identify how we can better provide those services across our complex geography for the benefit of our patients. Our focus is on ensuring we improve clinical outcomes, reduce inequalities of access and address the workforce challenges that we face.

We are now looking for a Remarkable Person to join our Extraordinary Place at this pivotal time.   We are looking for a Director to join us who is flexible, positive and can provide outstanding leadership to the Patient Safety and Quality Governance departments.

Main duties of the job

This post presents an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to be part of our quality and safety improvement journey and who is passionate about the patient safety agenda.

This position is integrated within the Group Chief Nurse’s Office and reports directly to the Group Chief Nurse, the portfolio requires the postholder to work closely with the Medical Director and the Corporate and Operational Nursing and Medical teams to deliver all aspects of quality governance.
