Post holders will receive regular supervision and preceptorship if necessary, as well as training provided internally, and courses provided by the trust. There is a fast progression to a band 6 senior nurse practitioner post for the right candidate

Haringey Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team provides a vital service to those experiencing severe mental ill health. The teams provide intensive support to adults experiencing a mental health crisis within their own communities as an alternative to hospital admission. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year and have been recently been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrist (RCPsych – QNCRHTT) with an award which recognises crisis teams that meet the highest standards of provision of care.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a welcoming and supportive team that provides mental health assessment, advice, diagnosis, treatment and care plans to patients and the families supporting them. You will be working as part of a service that responds to adults presenting with acute symptoms of mental ill health, distress, and risk presentations. You will commonly provide interventions and treatment for people presenting with co-morbid mental and physical health care needs, as well as complex biopsychosocial presentations. The team is passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. Our Home Treatment and Crisis service provision is a pivotal part of the acute care pathway for people with acute mental health difficulties. Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The right candidate should be forward thinking, able to work on their own as well as part of the team as the role will involve being responsible for risk assessment and management, care planning and care delivery within a team approach. The post holder should be confident in assessing and managing mental health and social needs and be able to deliver a range of therapeutic techniques. Devising care plans in partnership with the people that are referred, and their carers/families is essential. The post holder will work collaboratively  with clients, carers and multiple other agencies to provide effective care to optimize and maintain clients’ mental health and overall functioning, ensuring needs are met
