Job overview

Working Part Time: 6 PA's per Week

The successful candidate will be a part time appointment working across community and hospital settings with the Hospital Specialist Palliative Care Team (HSPCT) within The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CoCH NHSFT) and the Community Specialist Palliative Care Team (CSPCT) within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP).

Main duties of the job

  • To undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients.
  • To record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively
  • To participate in service and business planning activity for the trust, community and, as appropriate, for the locality.
  • To participate in annual appraisal.
  • To maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and to abide by professional codes of conduct.
  • To participate annually in a job plan review with the Clinical Director which will include consultation with a relevant manager to ensure that the post is developed considering changes in service configuration and delivery.
  • To work with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the  efficient running of services

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £27.50 (standard) or £55.50 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £16 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
