Job overview

Runneymede and Spelthorne CMHRS offering an exciting opportunity for this developmental role for a Band 5-6 Development post. Newly qualified candidate will have a full period of preceptorship to integrate into their new role and offered the necessary support to translate their knowledge into everyday practice, grow in confidence and understand how to apply the Code in their day to day work.

This post will include the opportunity for further skills training in working with people with Personality Disorders (EUPD, CBT, DBT) Training. Family intervention training and CBT for Psychosis and Bi-Polar and HEE funded training courses available throughout the year.

Full Clinical/Managerial supervision will be given. You will be actively encouraged to develop professionally in your role within the team. Including support with revalidation.

The post will involve a mixture of Case Management and delivering therapeutic interventions, and opportunities to work closely with our Social Care colleagues and Community Connection partners so that we can cater for the needs of the Client and their Carers. The candidate must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of this role.

Main duties of the job

Be accountable and responsible for a defined caseload that reflects the priorities of the local population and carry responsibility for the assessment of care needs, under the supervision of the CPN Clinical Lead.

To develop, implement and evaluate evidence based programme of care, set standards of care and liaise with other agencies, particularly in relation to people discharged under the Care Programme Approach.

Utilise the full range of mental health nursing skills to participate in the assessment, care and support of service users.

Support to organise and maintain depot clinic.

Opportunity to attend training for and to facilitate clozapine clinic.
