We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Healthcare Support Worker to provide bladder and bowel care and support for patients in the community setting as delegated by the registered nurse.
Access to a motor vehicle is essential - car, with appropriate driving license. You will be based at various sites across Hounslow and Richmond. Please ensure that your application demonstrates that you meet the essential criteria as listed in the job specification.
There may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to transfer onto the Trust's apprenticeship scheme.
To work within the Bowel and Bladder Health Service Team to provide care and support for patients in the community setting as delegated by the registered nurse.
To carry out clinical duties and be prepared to undertake clinical skills update as per needs of the service and specific patient after training and competence assessment, with support from an identified mentor for example, blood pressure, pulse and temperature recording, urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, simple wound dressings, and non-complex assessments such as continence reviews and pads assessment and ordering.
This will involve working independently but as part of the team covering a specific geographical area and be flexible to support corporate approach to patient care depending on the need of the service.
