The Black Country Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Services are located across Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton teams. It is an exciting time to join our teams as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with many innovative, new service developments across the service. The post holder will join of a network of psychological professions across Early Intervention Services in the Black Country, including Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT therapists and Assistant Psychologists. As a growing psychological professions team in EI, there is a range of support, supervision and internal training for the post holder to be part of and take up.
The post holder will be based between Walsall and Sandwell Early Intervention Services, but would be expected to work flexibly across the four teams when needed.
The post holder will be primarily contributing towards the delivery of high quality evidenced-based psychological assessment, formulations and interventions for people experiencing psychosis, psychotic symptomology, and/or At Risk Mental States, who may present with complex mental health, social, and relational difficulties, as well as issues such as substance and alcohol use.
The post holder will also be provided training and support the delivery of family interventions within the service.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role would be:
To be part of initial assessments to the EI service and be trained on assessment tools, including the Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental State (CAARMS)

The post holder will have Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and/or Additional training/qualifications in CBT for Psychosis (CBTp) and/or extensive experience of delivering CBT with people experiencing psychosis and psychotic symptomology
The post holder will have extensive clinical experience of working in mental health services and supporting people with complex mental health difficulties, particularly psychosis.
The post holder will work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team in Early Intervention in Psychosis Services to support the care and recovery of clients within the service and their family and carers.
