The Nutrition Support team, based in Barnet are looking for someone who is highly motivated, well organised and has experience of working in and /or managing a busy Nutrition Support service.  You will be managing the day to day running of the Barnet service in partnership with the Head of Clinics Services. Experience of managing people and supporting and leading service development will be key to the role. The successful candidate will have a high clinical skills in Dietetics and be actively engaged with evidence based practice. They should be adaptable to the rapidly changing healthcare agenda and have experienced of working with external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for the clinical activity of the team to deliver high quality evidence based care. The role will be supported by our strong management and leadership teams from within Specialist Clinical Services and the wider Divisional Senior Management team that are committed to service innovation, research & development.

1.1       To be responsible for providing highly specialist clinical assessments and treatments including appropriate dietary counseling to patients in a variety settings.

1.2       To work autonomously to provide expert advice to patients, carers and clinicians. This will involve nutritional diagnosis and assessment (interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometrics, clinical condition, diet history and social history) using evidence based guidelines and the development of treatment plans (calculation of nutritional requirement and client-centered goals) using evidence based outcomes.

1.3       To use professional judgement and clinical expertise to independently interpret and analyse complex situations and information to formulate treatment plans according to evidence based practiced and modify according to changes in clinical condition.

1.4       To be clinically competent to give specialist advice, treatment and dietary counseling to support behavioral change in adults with complex and diverse healthcare needs across health and social care.
