Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint to the position of Clinical Director for Transformation. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to drive the clinical quality improvement of our services, employing the latest advancements in technology and best practice to positively impact patient outcomes and experience.

The position will provide an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to enhance their personal development, providing clinical leadership and direction to transformation programmes whilst supporting divisional objectives. They will play a pivotal role in the development of strategic change initiatives appraising risks and benefits of key projects to ensure benefits to patients are maximised.

The Clinical Director of Transformation will promote the highest standards of clinical governance and support the quality improvement of services. You will contribute to the strategic management and the direction of the Trust and will support the Director of Transformation with leading the new clinical transformation directorate, which brings together key change functions including clinical pathway transformation and strategic clinical networks.

This role will be based at County Hall, Norwich with travel to Trust sites across Norfolk and Suffolk when required.

Main duties of the job

  • The Clinical Director of Transformation will promote the highest standards of clinical governance and support the quality improvement of services.
  • The Clinical Director of Transformation will contribute to the strategic management and the direction of the Trust.
  • They will support the Chief Transformation Officer with leading the new clinical transformation directorate, which brings together key change functions including clinical pathway transformation and strategic clinical networks.
  • The Clinical Director of Transformation will work to reduce unwarranted variation in clinical practice through process redesign and adoption of digital technology to improve patient safety, clinical outcomes and quality of care. As the vehicle for change, the focus would be on delivering transformational change through strategic clinical networks and care pathways.
