We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated admin team leader to lead and manage a team of secretarial and admin staff based within the Central Functions Team at Kendray Hospital.

The duties within this opportunity are diverse and demanding and they will require an individual who is dynamic and driven, enjoys a challenge and has the ability to provide continuity of service whilst critiquing, introducing and promoting changes to working practices.

If you possess previous supervisory / management and organisational skills and have the qualifications and experience required to guide and direct people and processes; then this opportunity may be of particular interest to you.

Main duties of the job

The role will primarily support admin staff within our Central Functions Team based within Kendray Hospital Barnsley. This will be supported through strong development plans, team working and examination of structures. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for managing staff and therefore will possess HR Management skills and will have previously held a supervisory role.

Our administrative team support clinical colleagues in the delivery of a quality patient experience. You will help to lead in the ongoing development of a full and comprehensive administrative support service within Barnsleys Physical Health and Wellbeing Care Group and the Central Functions Team. By joining the existing team, you will become a strong team player and assist us to further develop our team.

The successful candidate will be educated to NVQ level 4 in Business Admin or possess an equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline. It is essential that you have the ability to work flexibly, and the post holder may be expected to work at other locations within the area. As such a car driver with regular access to a car is essential.

The working week will be:

Monday to Friday 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 11am to 5pm

Tuesday & Thursday 9am to 3pm
