An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cardiology nurse to work within cardiology services across both South Tyneside and Sunderland Royal Hospital sites. This dynamic and skillful nurse will work alongside well-established Cardiology teams leading the management and care delivery for patients with cardiac arrhythmias. This Specialist Nurse role will consist of providing expert clinical knowledge to patients with cardiology conditions and managing their conditions effectively. They will be a requirement to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of nurse lead service for patients.
We are also excited to offer this position as a developmental post for the right candidate who does not possess non-medical prescribing but would be willing to work towards it. This would be as a trainee CNP in a band 6 role till training is completed.
It is expected the post holder will have sound cardiology knowledge and skills in management of patients in the acute setting. Having experience of managing patients with cardiac arrhythmias is desirable.
The post holder will hold well-developed and effective interpersonal and communication skills and should also possess good facilitation and IT skills. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, having excellent clinical skills to deliver exceptional standards of care for all patients and their families. The candidate must be well organised and enthusiastic in participating with service development through audit and peer review. Helping to drive and sustain new initiatives to meet local and national standards, as well as ensuring care meets our own Trust values.
