An exciting opportunity has arisen for a booking clerk to work at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby booking Cardiology patients for appointments at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Freshney place. There are 2 posts available, with 1 post working Monday to Wednesday and 1 post working Wednesday to Friday post 8.30-17.00.
The post holder will be responsible for a variety of adminstration and clerical functions, arranging appointments using an electronic scheduling system, contacting patients via telephone and outcoming appointment attendances on the systems.
You will be expected to display a pleasant and caring approach, especially when dealing with patients.
Operational use of Diagnostic Information Systems (eg, CVIS, Lorenzo) to register patients attending the departments , ensuring the data entered in is accurate and correct.
Answer telephone queries in a timely manner.
Demonstrate own tasks to new starters as directed.
Work with other patient administration departments in line with the continuing needs of the NHS plan and other developments in health care.
Attend any relevant training courses necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the role and maintain personal development.
Understand and adhere to the concept of Confidentiality to ensure that this important aspect of care is not breached.
Safeguard at all times the confidentiality of information in relation to patients and staff. Information relating to identifiable persons must on no account be divulged other than to an authorised person.
