Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) are seeking to recruit a Bank Level 3 Catering Chef for flexible working opportunities via Temporary Staffing for the provision of food for patients, staff and visitors, including the preparation, cooking and lay out of food for special functions.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food according to a planned menu on a daily basis, ensuring the correct economical use of foodstuffs is maintained through portion control and waste monitoring, to include the completion of daily production and food uptake sheets. The chef will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of catering requirements for special functions ensuring quality and correct portion control. Work in conjunction with the Production Team Leader to implement new menus on a regular basis and assist with the organisation of special-day events. To be responsible for solving operational problems in the absence of the Production Team Leader, seeking support for the Facilities Management team as required.
