A fantastic opportunity has arisen for dedicated and self-motivated Band 6 Physiotherapists to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Service includes core MSK Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic Triage and Pain Management.  We provide specialised MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy to the diverse local communities across twenty clinic sites. We accept referrals from GPs, ACPs and Allied Health Professionals, as well as patient self-referrals.

We are looking for suitably qualified Physiotherapists to join our friendly and innovative team. Evidence of substantial post graduate experience of working in an Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy environment is essential and previous NHS experience is desirable.

You will usually be timetabled to work out of a maximum of two different clinics over your working week.  We will take into account any requests to work in a certain geographical location however, you may be required to move base as service demands alter. Operating hours are from 7am to 7pm in some clinics across the city and there may be the opportunity for flexible working.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing first class assessment & treatment to people with a variety of both chronic and acute MSK disorders. You should be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge & evidence of CPD in MSK Physiotherapy & be prepared to contribute to our comprehensive IST programme & clinical interest groups.

You will be responsible for managing your own patient caseload within a supportive & experienced team and it is likely that you will supervise junior members of staff and students. There will be the opportunity to initiate, lead on & contribute to service development initiatives and be involved in regular audits. There will be the opportunity to complete a rotation through our well respected Pain Management Service.
