We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the multidisciplinary team at G1 Ward (specialist dementia unit) as a full-time permanent (37.5 hours per week) Band 5 Occupational Therapist. We are supportive of flexible working patterns.
We are looking forward to hearing from newly qualified Occupational Therapists or existing band 5 Occupational Therapists who have an interest in further developing their clinical expertise within older adults mental health services. As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team you will undertake occupational assessments, formulations and care planning. You will deliver interventions on a 1 to 1 and group basis to achieve therapeutic goals which are appropriate to individual’s needs. There is also opportunity to be involved in service development work on the ward including falls prevention, safe wards and carer support.
You will be provided with regular supervision from the band 6 Occupational Therapist. Newly qualified occupational therapists will be supported with preceptorship. CPD opportunities are available to enhance your professional development.
Clinical
To undertake occupational therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the client in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure.To work with clients to identify OT goals as part of the overall care planTo plan and implement individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the client, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals
