The associate practitioner is a key member of the CAP team.
They will support the sisters/charge nurses in the delivery of a comprehensive service and will assist with quality improvement projects and audit work.
They will coordinate the maintenance of all resuscitation training equipment across all hospital sites.
Undertake training in basic and intermediate resuscitation to a variety of clinical staff
Support the sisters/charge nurses in the delivery of the service
Assist with the delivery of projects, under the direction of a sister/charge nurse, as required
Assist with audit, under the direction of a sister/charge nurse, as required
Provide advice in relation to basic resuscitation or deteriorating patient enquires from clinical staff and refer complex enquiries to a sister/charge nurse

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
