Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in a career as a diagnostic radiographer to train via an Apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team at Dorset County Hospital as an apprentice radiographer. This is a recently established role which will involve you working alongside a multidisciplinary team whilst you train to become a radiographer.

The successful candidate will be enrolled on the University of Exeter Apprenticeship Radiographer Degree Programme, due to commence in March 2025. This is an exciting training opportunity to become a full HCPC registered Diagnostic radiographer (subject to course completion and HCPC registration).

Candidates must have the prerequisite qualifications as documented in the personal specification and by the University of Exeter.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to complete work-based, online and self-directed learning as outlined in the university prospectus. Attendance at Exeter University will also be part of the training. Apprenticeship radiographers will be supported in department by our workplace mentors and the whole radiography team.
