Job overview

There are 7 Radiology Departments across United Lincolnshire Hospital's NHS Trust, offering MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Dexa, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy and Interventional services.

We perform over 300k examinations per year providing a 24 hour service for emergency procedures.  The departments carry out a wide range of procedures including plain film radiography, barium studies, A/E Trauma, IVU’s, theatre, dental and interventional fluoroscopy.  The MRI, CT and Ultrasound departments are constantly developing and expanding their service provision.

Main duties of the job

Suitable applicants will undertake duties within the appointments and Reception teams based at Louth County Hospital.

The successful applicant will join the team of  Administration clerks in appointing investigations , liaising with patients, clinicians and Radiology clinical staff.  Appointments will be scheduled to ensure there are no breaches of waiting times, using the Radiology Information System (RIS), inputting data and informing patients and clinicians of appointment dates and times. Reception duties will including welcoming patients into the department and attending them for their Radiology appointment; in addition to answering any queries.
