We are recruiting for an Advanced Pharmacist Paediatrics who is passionate about paediatrics and who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will work alongside a fantastic multidisciplinary team which includes clinicians, specialist nurses, pharmacy staff and with staff in the wider ICB
You will work with the Principal Paediatric pharmacist to develop and enhance the paediatric and neonatal services to the wards and Children's ED and Assessment area.
Being driven and adaptable are essential characteristics for this role as there is a unique opportunity to work with the MDT, local, regional, and national networks to develop an innovative and sustainable service.
You will use your non-medical prescribing qualification to optimise individual patient's drug therapies as appropriate.
You will be supported to develop their leadership and management skills.

To work closely with and support the Principal Pharmacist – Paediatrics to lead and deliver a high-quality specialist pharmacy service to the Children’s Services Directorate across the Trust.
To provide expert pharmaceutical knowledge and input to all inpatient paediatric and neonatology ward areas, outpatient paediatric areas and outreach support services.
To establish and set up a newly defined pharmacy service to the paediatric emergency department and children’s assessment unit.
To support with the provision of paediatric pharmacy services to oncology/haematology patients as part of the POSCU set-up and participate in clinical trials as part of the service.
Engage with stakeholders in the local ICS to ensure all possible opportunities to improve patient care are identified and delivered. This will include integration with neighbouring Trusts and community healthcare providers to support the transfer of care for paediatric patients.
To undertake service improvements and audits within the Children’s Services directorate.
To identify and see through opportunities for cost improvement projects and efficiencies within the pharmacy service to the Children’s Services directorate.
