Job overview

Would you like the opportunity to work as a part of a progressive, patient focused pharmacy service?

We are looking for two enthusiastic pharmacists to join our expanding oncology clinical trials team. This is an exciting time to join as we are looking to expand our early phase clinical trial portfolio and develop ATMP studies.

The team at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust comprises of approximately 500 pharmacy staff working across five sites and is one of the biggest pharmacy departments in the country.

Our inclusive and diverse pharmacy department has a strong clinical presence in all areas. We are innovative and forward-thinking and have invested in a host of technical improvements, including robotics and a state of the art, multi-million-pound technical services unit. We offer a wide range of roles across different areas of the service including clinical ward services, aseptic services, homecare, medicines supply, medicines information, medicines governance, education & training, clinical trials, and research.

NHS organisations recognise the benefits of having a diverse workforce. As a trust and department, we are working to promote and improve inclusion and representation from under-represented groups including global majority ethnicities, LGBTQ+ identities, and colleagues with disabilities.  We would welcome applicants who are members of these groups and other underrepresented groups to apply.

Main duties of the job

The service includes the delivery of ATMP and early phase clinical trials.

A Great place to live and work!

Located on rolling hills and dissected by river valleys, Sheffield is one of the greenest and most wooded cities in Europe. More than a third of the city lies inside the beautiful Peak District National Park, and it is virtually surrounded by open countryside. Its central location and excellent transport links also mean it is less than two hours from most major metropolitan areas.
