An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Gynaecology team in a full-time 6-month fixed-term secondment in the role of Lead Nurse. This is to cover the current position holders' secondment.
This role covers Gynaecology Services within the trust which includes; the outpatient Department, Inpatient Ward, Gynaecology Specialist Services, Early Pregnancy Unit and Gynaecology Ambulatory Care.
The post holder will be responsible for providing nursing expertise, effective line management of the team and coordination of the services provided.
It is crucial that the successful candidate can lead on quality improvement and the development of services; identifying opportunities to improve patient and staff experience and working alongside senior members of the CBU3 nursing and management team to achieve this.
The successful candidate will have leadership experience and the ability to contribute to the wider strategic direction of nursing within the Trust.
The successful candidate will be somebody who encompasses our Trust Values and will work with staff to ensure that our services are safe and effective.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Working with members of the Gynaecology MDT including medical staff and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of clinical governance. Maintaining yourown continuous professional development by keeping up to date with clinical practice, national guidelines, and developments, and incorporating them as necessary into your work.
Provide clinical and managerial supervision to the nursing team.
Contribute to service development to ensure that all who use our services consistently receive high-quality interventions that adhere to best practice guidelines.
Demonstrate excellent clinical skills. Monitor, audit and sustain best practices across the services.
Investigate and respond to incidents, complaints and patient safety concerns
