Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Site Management team with multiple secondment roles available (working 25hrs a week).  The Operations centre is often seen as the “hub” of the hospital where decisions and plans are made to ensure the hospital can meet the demands of the emergency patients as well as the patients requiring an elective surgery. This role will expose the candidate to the wider network of UHS staff and clinical areas. The Operations Centre is also where the hospital runs its Major Incidents and Hospital Internal Management team meetings from. The clinical site manager supports the hospital as bronze command throughout day and night across the 7 days of the week (including bank holidays). The role supports patient flow across the organisation exposing the team to clinical decision making, staffing issues and wider infrastructure issues. This also includes support for mental health sectioning and coordinating helipad landings.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

-Shift patterns across day and night 7 days a week, 365 days of the year including bank holidays: Long Days- 0800-2030hrs Long Night 2030- 0800hrs Twilights 1615-2230hrs

-Only travel required to and from UHS

Essential Qualifications/Training Required: -1st Level Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC Register  -Recognised mentorship qualification and experience as a Sign Off mentor  -Degree  -Relevant clinical courses

Desirable Qualifications/Training Required: -Management Course -Leadership course

Essential Experience: -Extensive experience to include considerable experience at Band 6 in an acute setting. -Evidence of clinical leadership ability  -Proven management experience  -Evidence of continuing professional development  -Evidence of utilising evidence in practice  -Logical and consistent career pattern
